When Consumnes River College first opened its doors in 1970, there were only 350 evening and 1,800 day students in attendance. Since then the school has grown into an institution of higher learning that serves more than 11,000 students. As a comprehensive two-year degree-granting school, Consumnes River College now offers over 60 different occupational degree programs as well as a host of transfer programs to choose from.
From courses in agriculture business, photography, and computer information science, to programs in physical education, anthropology, and engineering, there's an educational discipline to match almost anyone's needs and interests at Consumnes River College. And with study abroad programs to places like China, Italy, and Mexico, there's no need for students of this community college to feel tethered to their campus. After returning from their travels, students will once again feel at home at Consumnes River College's pool, library, automotive and technology complex, and physical education building. As for students who can't attend class on campus, this California college also offers a distance education program.
