Conejo Valley Adult School serves the residents of the Conejo Valley and the surrounding areas in Thousand Oaks, California, through a wide range of educational opportunities from computer classes to career training programs. Conejo Valley Adult School offers computer classes, IT/networking, general classes, career training, ESL, medical programs, parent education, and a literacy program. Conejo Valley Adult School's Learning Center gives students, who need it, the opportunity to earn credits toward their high school diplomas. - Conejo Valley Adult School offers 24 percent off computer training courses. Computer training is available in more than 25 software applications and topics, with the option of morning, afternoon, and evening class sessions. Students can learn business software including Microsoft 2003 Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project, and other class topics include an introduction to computers, basic keyboard and mouse skills, Internet, Windows XP, file management fundamentals, and Windows Vista.
- Conejo Valley's IT Technical Training Center confers computer network training certification and computer repair training with CompTia A+ Certification. These certification programs are taught by instructors certified in Network+ and A+, the class sizes are small, students have individual help, will learn to build and repair networks, receive extensive hands on experience, and the classes can be customized for employers. Students have ranked the Conejo Valley's IT Training Center the best in Southern California.
- General classes are available in bookkeeping, career development, career explorations, creative outlets, dance and music, creative outlets, decorative arts, finances, fine arts, fitness and sport, food and beverage, foreign language, home and garden, jewelry design, personal awareness, and writing as well as day trips, which include the Cherry Blossom Festival and Solvang Day Trip.
- Conejo Valley's Professional Development Center prepares students for careers in computer applications for business, computer repair, computer networking, or the medical field. Computer career training programs include Microsoft office clerk, general office assistant, Microsoft office application specialist, office software technician, administrative assistant, computerized accounting technician, introduction to web and print graphics, and website graphic technician. Medical field career programs include back office, front office, phlebotomy, medical billing, office procedures, and EMT, CPR, First Aid and Safety and skin care fundamentals.
