Concordia University Texas, a private, coeducational institution of liberal arts and sciences, was founded in 1926. This Austin school is one of 10 universities founded by the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, and welcomes students of all faiths.

Concordia awards over 20 undergraduate majors among four colleges: Business, Education, Liberal Arts & Sciences, and Adult Education. Master's of Education degrees are awarded at Concordia University's graduate level. The Accelerated Degree Program is ideal for part-time students and adult returning students.

Concordia University Texas is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The university is a member of the Independent Colleges and Universities of Texas, the Association of Texas Colleges and Universities, the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education, the Association of Independent Liberal Arts Colleges for Teacher Education, the Texas Association of Colleges for Teacher Education, the Association of Lutheran College Faculties, the American Association for Higher Education, and the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education.
