Founded in 1864, Concordia University Chicago is a four-year institution of higher education that is devoted to offering students a Christian liberal arts education in the Lutheran tradition. Today the college is located on a 40-acre campus just 10 miles from Chicago, and provides students with a variety of academic opportunities.

From programs in accounting, marketing, sports management, theatre management, communications, computer information systems, and English, to concentrations in areas like the graphic arts, law and justice, music, Spanish, theological languages, environmental science, and Christian education, there's something that's sure to interest most anyone at this Illinois university.

As of the autumn of 2007, Concordia University Chicago has more than 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in its courses, with 33 percent hailing from other states. Despite its sizable enrollment, this Illinois university maintains a student-faculty ratio of 17 to one and an average class size of 20 students. In addition, the 2007 freshman class boasted an average high school GPA of 3.16, SAT score of 1060, and ACT score of 22.64.
