Affiliated with the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Clarke College has strong roots the Catholic Church. It has been a prominent center for scholarly study for more than 150 years, and had expanded over the years to confer degrees in more than 25 fields of study. The challenging academic programs at Clarke College are offered at a variety of levels. As an undergraduate, students work toward Associate and Bachelor's degrees, which are conferred in dozens of areas including art, accounting, history, kinesiology, music, social work, religious studies, and language, among others. Small class sizes and a low student to teacher ratio allow for an optimal classroom experience, as many classes are structured around each individual student's needs and goals.

Clarke College has been conferring Master's degrees for more than 40 years. The school has continued to expand its program offerings to meet the changing demands of working professionals and those seeking a higher education degree. Today, this college in Iowa offers a Doctor of Psychology, a Master of Arts in Education, a Master of Science in Nursing, and an MBA program. Every graduate program aims to provide a platform for future educators, nurses, psychologists and business professionals for continued academic and professional growth.

In addition to traditional academic degree programs, Clarke College offers corporate and professional training and certifications, as well as a flexible night program designed for full-time working adults. Courses in both programs are conveniently scheduled.
