City College is a nonprofit, private college located in Gainesville, Florida, that also operates campuses in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and Orlando, which is an affiliate location. The Florida school was originally established in 1984 as a business school, and first offered bachelor's degrees to students in 1999.

The Florida school's Gainesville location occupies a 10,000-square-foot campus, including labs for students in the medical assisting and phlebotomist programs. City College's Fort Lauderdale location occupies a more than 28,000-square-foot campus, and includes labs that simulate actual working conditions for the medical assisting, electronics and broadcasting students. The 15,000-square-foot Miami location includes a computer network lab, which features Intel-based workstations, color monitors, and laser and color printers.

City College offers students associate degree programs in business administration, allied health, broadcasting, emergency medical services, nursing, and private investigation services. The Florida school offers students an undergraduate degree in business administration, as well as a diploma program in phlebotomy. Degrees awarded by City College are accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools and is licensed by the Commission for Independent Education.

  • City College offers financial aid to qualifying students. Types of aid include federal grants, federal loans, federal work-study programs and state grants. The Richard W. Skidmore Scholarship Fund is available to students who have completed an academic year at City College. The fund has an award amount of $500.
