Founded in 1971 by a Catholic organization, this university in Tennessee originally served as an elementary and high school as well as a college for women. Over the years it transitioned into a four-year college conferring Bachelor's and Master's degrees to both men and women. As an undergraduate, students can choose to study a variety of academic programs including psychology, English, fine arts, chemical technology, engineering, management, among many others.

At the Master's level, students may work toward degrees in business administration, engineering, education, teaching, executive leadership, Catholic studies. This university in Tennessee recently launched an online program as well, allowing students to take some of their courses exclusively online. Christian Brothers University saw the need to accommodate working professionals more than 20 years ago when it instituted the evening program, offering a business administration and applied psychology degree.

Regardless of a student's academic focus, Christian Brothers University encourages all students to study abroad. With programs in Brazil, Italy, England, Haiti, and Uganda, students have a wide variety of opportunity to purse both academic and personal goals. The experience is an invaluable addition to traditional classroom learning through a variety of short and long term programs.

With more than 1,800 students from dozens of countries around the world, Christian Brothers University is a very diverse community. This university in Memphis is conveniently located just a few miles from downtown Memphis, a thriving cultural and exciting city. On campus, Greek life is very popular and many students participate in the more than 40 clubs and organizations including professional groups and intramural sports teams. Campus chapel offers daily masses as well as advising and ministry opportunities.
