Centre College takes a unique approach to higher learning by strongly encouraging students to develop their own curriculum. With dozens of undergraduate majors from political economy, biochemistry, environmental studies, government, and art, students have a wide spectrum of possibility for focused study. Humanities is currently the only course required of all Centre College students; beyond that, students have the freedom to make their four years truly their own. Centre College believes this is the best way to provide students with optimal opportunity to develop personalized goals. In addition to undergraduate degrees, Centre College also awards teacher certification and pre-professional programs designed for future dentists, lawyers, veterinarians, pharmacists, among other professions, as well as graduate programs.

Because Centre College believes in each student, this college in Kentucky guarantees an internship, a study abroad experience, and graduation in four years to each student who meets academic standards. If students aren't able to finish their degree in four years, yet still meet the standards, Centre College provides up to a year of free tuition.
