This 135-acre campus located on the border of Lake Auburn is home to 29 different majors. Central Main Community College currently provides Associate in Arts, Science, and Applied Science degree programs as well as vocational certificate and diploma programs to its students. One of seven colleges in the Maine Community College system, Central Maine maintains strong ties with neighboring four-year institutions, giving students the ability to transfer to a larger university easily and without losing credits. In addition to academic programs, Central Main Community College also offers non-credited continuing education courses available to the surrounding community. Maine-based juniors and seniors in high school can get a jump on their college career by enrolling in the Early College program.
On this approximately 2,000-person campus, classes are small and personal so you can expect to have your questions answered and receive one-on-one help from your professors. Students at Central Main Community College can also expect access to free computer labs and top-notch facilities during their college tenure. The school supplies academic and personal support through free academic advising sessions, tutoring, an on campus writing center, private study areas, and individual academic support programs. Socially, students are supported as well. When classes are over, Central Main Community College students enjoy the fishing, swimming, and water activities offered on Lake Auburn as well as the array of student clubs and events offered on campus. Central Maine Community College hosts a wide array of student-led social clubs, religious organizations, performing groups, publications, and professional associations. Central Maine maintains a strong intramurals sports program and as a member of the Northern New England Small College conference, the school's varsity athletic teams play competitively throughout the state.
The school's three on campus dorms provide housing for approximately 120 students. The Student Senate provides a voice for Central Main Community College enrollees, giving students the ability to influence how their campus is run.
