Founded in 1884 and rooted in Christian tradition, Central Christian College offers a comprehensive education and a diverse range of academic programs. Central Christian College offers a Bachelor's of Science in Business, a Bachelor's of Science in Ministry, a Bachelor's of Science, pre-professional programs and more. Some unique programs offered are Aviation, Contemporary Christian Music and Family Studies. Central Christian College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and affiliated with the Free Methodist Church.
Central Christian College is located in the city of McPherson, Kansas, ranked one of the '100 Best Small Towns in America.' Although the town is small, it offers a diverse range of activities and culture with art galleries, museums, performing arts venues and more. Some notable venues include the Vaam Gallery, the McPherson Museum and the McPherson Waterpark. The town also offers acres of scenic land and more than six parks for students to enjoy.
Central Christian College offers many activities on campus as well. Students can take advantage of more than 12 varsity sports that compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics & National Christian College Athletic Association. Athletics are offered for both men and women including basketball, baseball, soccer, golf and more. There are also numerous clubs and extra-curricular activities available such as the aviation club, a science club and ministry opportunities.
Roughly, 97% of Central Christian College students receive financial aid. CCC offers several scholarships ranging from $2,250 to $7,000. Some of the scholarships include the Christian Leadership Scholarship, the National Merit Scholarship and the Dean's Scholarship.
Central Christian College also welcomes home-schooled students as well as adult students. Several of Central Christian College's students and alumni were at least partially home schooled. The college also offers a unique accelerated degree program for adults created in 2001, called the 'EXCEL Degree Completion Program; offering Bachelor's of Science degrees.
