• The California university recently announced the naming of its first school, the Martin V. Smith School of Business and Economics, after one of the county's most well-known philanthropists and friends of education. The school provides students with an outstanding business program that focuses on hands-on, real-life experiences, using the most up-to-date technology and instruction.


• California State University Channel Islands offers a strong academic program focusing on liberal studies, science, and business, as well as teaching credentials. Through Extended Education, a number of master's degrees are also offered.
