The California Institute of Jewelry Training, founded in 1979, is a comprehensive institution offering a diverse range of jewelry training programs. Programs are offered in a variety of areas at the Institute of Jewelry Training including jewelry arts, gemology, a jewelry sales and marketing program, the value program and more.

Each of the unique programs offered at the California Institute of Jewelry Training provides students with individual curriculums and schedules. The Gemological Association of Great Britain -(Gem-A) F.G.A. certificate/diploma program, for example, provides Institute of Jewelry Training students with the opportunity to gain knowledge in areas such as magnification techniques, the nature of gem materials, the electromagnetic spectrum and more.

The Jewelry Arts program offers a certificate in jewelry repair, a certificate in jewelry arts, a diploma in advanced jewelry arts and a certificate in advanced metal and media techniques.

The California Institute of Jewelry Training is located in the city of Carmichael in California. Students of Institute of Jewelry Training can take advantage of state- of-the-art equipment as well as studios where they can gain practical hands-on experience.

In addition to the comprehensive programs offered at the Institute of Jewelry Training, students can also take advantage of programs in the city of Carmichael. Carmichael is home to numerous recreational, cultural and historical attractions. Some attractions include the Effie Yeaw Nature Center, the Jensen Botanical Gardens and more.
