Brown University, founded in 1764, is a private comprehensive institution offering a diverse range of undergraduate, graduate, certificate programs and more in a variety of areas. Brown University is rated among the nation's top universities. In addition to the many programs and schools are the Brown University Summer Programs. This school offers pre-college programs, undergraduate summer session, and adult continuing and professional programs.

The pre-college programs provides select high school students with the Ivy League College experience through a diverse range of courses. The pre-college programs include intensive English language courses, mini courses, seven-week credit courses and more. Students can even take advantage of a study abroad program in Hawaii.

Brown Undergraduate students, as well as visiting undergraduate students, are able to take advantage of the wide array of summer course offerings at Brown. Courses are offered in a numerous range of areas including economics, languages, music, mathematics and more. Adult and continuing professional programs at Brown University include the Brown Writers Symposium and access to many of Brown's courses.

Brown University is located in the beautiful city of Providence, Rhode Island. The scenic campus, spanning more than 125 acres, boasts numerous facilities for students to take advantage of. Among them are libraries which offer students with numerous resources including print volumes, electronic databases, articles and more. The Brown University campus also offers the Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology.

Summer students can also enjoy numerous on campus activities such as yoga, volleyball, talent shows and more. Not only are there numerous on campus activities, but a plethora of off campus recreational, cultural and historical attractions as well. Providence is home to quaint cafes, shops, museums, art galleries and more. Students can also enjoy more than 390 miles of coastline. Providence attractions include the Roger Williams Park Zoo, the Rhode Island School of Design Museum, the Providence Athenaeum and more.
