The Body Therapy Institute, founded in 1983 is a comprehensive institution offering a variety of massage therapy and related programs leading to certification. Among the many programs offered at the Body Therapy Institute are a massage therapy diploma program, a BTI massage therapy introduction workshop, The spirit of learning teaching certification program, the medical massage certification program and others. Some of the courses offered at the institute are hydrotherapy and spa modalities, somatic psychology and communication skills and others.

The Body Therapy Institute is located in the city of Silver City in North Carolina on a scenic South Wind Farm, which spans more than 140 acres. Among the institute facilities on campus is the school store which offers numerous holistic healing art resources, textbooks, massage supplies and more.
