Blinn College is the oldest county-owned Texas junior college in Texas. It has been serving residents in south central Texas for 125 years education. Blinn College exists for the primary purpose of serving educational needs of the people in its service area. This Texas junior college seeks to provide educational experiences and opportunities that will assist the student in developing intellectual curiosity, and social responsibility and skills and knowledge in support of a productive life.

The home campus of Blinn College is located in Brenham, Washington County, Texas. Brenham has a population of approximately 12,000 and lies in the south central part of the state about 90 miles east of Austin, and 70 miles west of Houston. There are other campuses that are located in Bryan, Schulenburg, and Sealy, Texas.

For both the associate of arts (AA) and the associate of science (AS) degrees, any area of concentration offered at Blinn College may be selected. However, traditional areas of concentration for the AA degree are: Communications, Criminal Justice, English, Foreign Languages and Speech/Theater Arts. Traditional areas of concentration for AS degrees are: Agriculture, Biology, Business/Accounting, Chemistry, Computer Science, Health/Kinesiology and Mathematics.
