Bladen Community College offers Associate of Applied Science, Associate of the Arts, and professional diploma programs of study to students across North Carolina. With programs of study spanning 21 career-oriented subjects, the school is committed to providing students with a smooth transition to the workforce or a four-year school. Programs here range from carpentry to CISCO networking to cosmetology. The school is particularly strong in the area of nursing. Students at Bladen Community College have their choice of three nursing-related degree programs (Nurses Assistant, Practical Nursing, and Associate Degree in Nursing) and will complete real-world nursing work prior to graduation.

Bladen Community College students may opt to complete their degree on-campus or through the school's distance education program. Offer five online programs of study, Bladen students majoring in Business Administration, Early Childhood Education, General Education, Computer Information Technology, or Criminal Justice Technology can complete their coursework any time, anywhere. In addition to online courses, Bladen also offers telecourses (via videocassette), teleweb courses (via videocassette and the internet), interactive TV, and hybrid in-person/distance learning options.

Bladen Community College also offers several continuing education courses open to the surrounding community. Courses for 2007 include Defensive Driving, Fire Control, Vehicle Inspection, and Career Exploration. After class breaks, Bladen Community College students head to a wide variety of student clubs and organizations. Ranging from student publications to religious groups to performing arts troupes, Bladen students are involved in making their campus a community. Students are also involved in the surrounding community. Each year, Bladen students complete volunteer service projects in conjunction with local non-profits.

Bladen Community College student support services include career counseling, resume workshops, mock interviews, personal counseling, financial aid counseling, placement testing, and tutoring. The school also offers remedial math and skills workshops as well as GED preparation courses. The Bladen library also offers access to periodicals and journals from across the globe.

  • Students ages 16 and over are invited to take any of Bladen's pre-college prep courses. Each year, Bladen Community College offers over 12,000 free basic skills courses, English as a Second Language classes, and Adult High School courses to the surrounding community.
