Belmont Technical College is a learner-centered institution committed to meeting the academic, technical, career development and workforce needs of individuals, businesses, industries, and organizations. To serve its diverse student population and provide access to necessary skills in a rapidly changing workplace, the Ohio college employs a range of delivery systems including distance and community-based education, and strives to maintain low tuition rates and an abundance of financial aid sources.

The overarching mission of Belmont Technical College is to help students succeed. There are services for students that focus on this aspect of the mission in the Student Success Center. Services offered through this computerized center include placement testing, tutoring, and delivery of developmental courses such as Paragraph Writing, Pre-algebra, and Textbook Comprehension, to name a few.

Belmont Technical College maintains an open door admissions policy, which makes it possible for all who desire a technical education to pursue the program of their choice. While an open-door admissions policy is maintained, certain Belmont Technical College instructional departments maintain established guidelines for students desiring to enter specific programs.
