Bellingham Technical College strives to provide students with the competencies necessary to gain employment, to continue to learn, to be productive on the job, and to be contributing members of the workplace and the community. This Washington college was founded in 1957 and has been serving the community since then and providing students with the education they need to succeed.
Consistent with the vocational technical history, Bellingham Technical College believes that the content is most meaningful when learned and practiced in context of the occupation and job expectations. To accomplish this mission and goals, Bellingham Technical College students are required to satisfy occupational program course requirements and related instruction requirements for occupational program degree and certificate completion and graduation.
Preparing an educated workforce is central to the mission of Bellingham Technical College. Today's workforce requires complex technical competencies as well as academic skills, positive work attitudes and habits, effective human relations, leadership, problem solving, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
