Chicago, Illinois 60657
Aveda Institute Chicago, owned and operated by Barb Ashworth and Carol and Erik Knudsen--owners of Salon Systems, the only distributor of Aveda in Wisconsin and Illinois, offers students a curriculum that prepares them to successfully meet the state of Illinois licensing requirements to practice Cosmetology and Esthiology.
All curriculum is designed to provide students with classroom instruction and hands-on experience. Students have the opportunity to practice their skills on hundreds of clients. To receive a license in the state of Illinois, a cosmetologist needs to accrue 1,500 hours and an esthetician needs 750 hours. There are a maximum of 15 to 18 students in a class.
Students are introduced to Aveda products and learn the relationship between personal beauty and wellness, and the environment.
