American Samoa Community College (ASCC) was established nearly four decades ago to provide higher education opportunities in the liberal arts, teacher training, vocational-technical education and general education. Today, residents of American Samoa can earn associate of arts and associate of science degrees as well as a variety of certificates from many different academic and technical areas.

Situated on Tutuila, the largest of American Samoa's seven islands in the village of Mapusaga, American Samoa Community College is in the territory's hub of trade and commerce. In fact, Tutuila is comprised of 90 percent of American Samoa's population of nearly 60,000 people. Located 2,500 miles southwest of Hawaii and 1,800 miles northeast of New Zealand, students at American Samoa Community College are able to attend classes and reach their educational goals in the middle of paradise.
