Arkansas Baptist College

Arkansas Baptist College is situated in the downtown district of Little Rock, Arkansas, not far from the Rivermarket section and the Clinton Presidential Library on land originally purchased for $5,000. When it was founded by a multi-cultural group of religious leaders in 1884, ABC was known as Minister's Institute. A private, historically black, four-year liberal arts college, Arkansas Baptist College produces well-educated and spiritually aware graduates ready to meet the needs of a changing society.

ABC has an open enrollment policy and accepts all eligible students with a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Coursework leads to bachelor's degrees in criminal justice, business administration, public administration, human services, and religious studies.

Arkansas Baptist College's mission is to impact the community and society through a combination of academic scholarship and Christian principles. ABC students complete coursework leading to a baccalaureate degree in a minimum of four years. Students take advantage of summer sessions, in which case the degree can be completed in three calendar years. Students are immersed in liberal arts during their first two years, before significant coursework in their area of specialization. Internships and other forms of service are significant parts of the final two years of study. Classes are offered through nine divisions and schools.
