Founded in 1961, the Arizona Academy of Beauty offers cosmetology training to pass the State Board of Cosmetology examination through three course programs; Cosmetology, Nail Technology and Student Instructor Training. Students gain instruction in salon management, business concepts and the psychology of personal success with an emphasis on hands-on training. The Arizona Academy of Beauty is run by second-generation school owners, Stewart and Carey White, and operates out of two campuses in Tucson, Arizona.

Students gain the knowledge to function effectively in a number of specialty areas such as: Hair Stylist, Hair Colorist, Manicurist, Make-up artist or Beauty Salon Operator. In the normal progression of a career in the cosmetology industry, individuals should move to positions such as Beauty Salon Manager, Beauty Salon Owner, Cosmetology Instructor or School Owner. The Arizona Academy of Beauty focuses on those objectives by consistently monitoring and evaluating the school's curriculum and practical training skills as mandated by the State Board of Cosmetology. They provide vocational training within within the scope of the State Board's required curriculum and the daily training is under the instruction of qualified, experienced supervisors who bring over 50 years of specialized instruction to each student. The school is well established in the local salons in Tucson and the surrounding areas.

Each program mixes classroom instruction with clinical training. The Arizona Academy of Beauty has been examined and approved by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences (NACCAS), the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology, and recognized by the United States Department of Education. The school is accepted by all Federal and State agencies for educational and financial aid.
