Apex Technical School
635 Avenue of the Americas
New York, NY

With more than 40 years of training experience, Apex Tech operates out of an eight story training facility right in the heart of New York City. Students work with real-world, experienced instructors in fully equipped shops, using professional tools so that they learn the skills needed in their chosen field. Apex offers six certificate courses that can be completed in as little as 7 months: Automotive Technician Program; Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Appliance and Controls; Auto Body Repair; Electrical and Advanced Electrical; Combination Welding Technology or Construction Skills; and Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical.

New classes start every month so students can enroll frequently. Each course features a comprehensive curriculum and is used in conjuncture with training in operational equipment typically found in the field. Taught in manageable "course segments,", textbook theory is combined with hands-on training for a comprehensive education. Class size averages about 17 students and day and evening classes are offered.

In 1968, Apex earned accreditation from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology, and a member of the Career College Association and the Coalition of New York State Career Schools. The N.Y.S. Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, N.Y.S. Department of Labor, and the U.S. Department of Education among others recognize them.
