For more than 70 years, Antonelli Institute has offered occupational degree programs in photography and graphic design/commercial art. From its Pennsylvania campus, the school teaches the artistic and technical foundation for careers in the creative visual arts. All programs of study at Antonelli Institute provide individualized "hands on" instruction, practical experience and are designed for entry-level training for students. Classes are taught by working professionals with the goal of turning students into qualified visual artists. The Institute is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, State Board of Private Licensed Schools, authorized to confer the Associate in Specialized Technology Degree in Photography and Graphic Design / Commercial Art, and accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology.

Founded in 1938 by Severo Antonelli, a major futurist artist and photographer, to meet the training needs of professional and military photographers, the school soon attracted WWII veterans seeking photographic training. Antonelli served as school's president until his retirement in 1974 after which the school gained national accreditation and added the Graphic Design/Commercial Art program. The campus is located on 27,000 square foot modern multi-level facility located on 15 acre wooded hillside in Erdenheim, PA. There are 17 classrooms and studios that are arranged to provide natural light that is appropriate for each program of study. Computer labs contain MacIntosh systems, DVD-ROM, CDRWs, color laser and color ink-jet printers, scanners, and ZIP drives. There is a basic photographic studio with ten shooting sites, an advanced commercial studio with fourteen shooting sites and a portrait studio. The black and white darkroom has 25 enlargers and the color darkroom has 16 enlargers.

To keep up on current trends in the professional field, an Advisory Board of experts, representing each field of study meets with the Director of Education at least twice each year. The Institute contracts with local apartment complexes for student housing, helps with job placement, and offers financial aid.
