Andrews University, founded 1874, is an educational institution of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, located next to the Village of Berrien Springs, Michigan. The campus, designated as an arboretum, sits on 1,600 acres and includes 27 instructional buildings, a fine arts performance hall, three residence halls, four apartment complexes, and many service and support buildings. Lake Michigan beaches are 12 miles away.

More than 3,000 students are enrolled at Andrews University, and there are about 280 faculty members. The student to faculty ratio is 12 to one. AU is made up of six schools/colleges and one division and offers 130 undergraduate programs and 70 graduate majors. Post-baccalaureate degrees are supervised by the School of Graduate Studies.

Schools include: College of Arts and Sciences; College of Technology; School of Business; School of Education; School of Graduate Studies; SDA Theological Seminary; and School of Architecture.
