North Hollywood, CA 91601

Anderson Medical Career College was established in 1999 with the goal of helping individuals enter the field of nursing by providing a number of vocational nursing programs. Anderson Medical Career operates out of two locations in California, a Los Angeles branch and a San Fernando Valley branch. Nursing programs are catered for students to achieve careers in Licensed Vocational Nursing, Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Home Health Aide, Rehabilitative Nursing aide, and Acute Care nursing. Anderson Medical Career College also offers medical courses in surgical technology, ortho technology, medical assistance, and hemodialysis.

Founder Blanca E. Lozano established the Anderson Medical Career College to provide affordable, hands-on training in the nursing field. Lozano, an immigrant from Central America, opened the school to give students like herself the opportunity for better lives by training them in the secure, sought-after profession of nursing. Before establishing the school, she worked as a registered nurse (RN) for more than 30 years in prestigious hospitals of the San Fernando Valley area. The faculty at Anderson Medical consists of skilled professionals who are well-trained in the medical and nursing fields, many with advanced clinical practice training and Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Nursing and related fields.

Students can qualify for paid training, student loans and other government assisted programs that administrative personnel assist students with. The school also offers online classes for Certified Nursing Assistant students who work late hours and have no time to attend classes. To prepare students to work in the nursing field, the school assists with job placement in facilities and hospitals throughout Southern California.
