The American Institute of Beauty is a full-service cosmetology school located in Largo, Florida. The school is known throughout Florida and many students travel from Tampa, St. Petersburg, Port Richey and Spring Hill to attend the American Institute of Beauty.

The American Institute of Beauty has seven instructors that provide individualized attention to their students. The American Institute of Beauty has several programs including: cosmetology; nail tech; skin care; full specialist and barbering.

As a cosmetology student at the American Institute of Beauty, students will learn: sanitation, hairstyling, shampooing, hair coloring, permanent waving, hair relaxing, clipper cutting, up-do's, skin care, nails and hair removal. Nail tech students learn: acrylic nails, sculptured nails, pink and white nails, pink and white toes, fiberglass nails, gel nails, manicuring, pedicures and nail art paraffin treatments. Students in the skin care program learn: micro-dermabrasion, facial treatments with machines, skin analysis, disorders of the skin, facial massage, European facials, mask therapy, hair removal and make-up techniques. Students wishing to become full specialists combine the nail technician program and the skin care program. Upon completing both programs, graduates receive full specialist certification. Students are then allowed to perform two services in the salon. Barber students learn the art of hairstyling, hair cutting, hair coloring, shampooing and sterilization.
