270 S. Bryn Mawr Avenue
Bryn Mawr, PA 19010

The American College, founded in 1927, is the nation's oldest and largest nontraditional, non-profit, educational institution devoted exclusively to the academic study of financial services. American students can pursue various designations through standard and accelerated programs that allow them to set their own pace via self-study, classroom or online instruction, and web-based course delivery options.

Students are comprised of financial services professionals from all 50 states and 19 foreign countries. Resident faculty include 28 of the nation's top thought leaders in financial services practice and management. Some of the existing designations offered by The American College to assist financial services providers with their practice include: Insurance-Focused Sales Training (LUTCF); Philanthropy (CAP); Health Insurance (RHU); Employee Benefits (REBC); and Executive Leadership (MSM). Many of these designations are the registered property of The American College and may only be used by individuals who have successfully completed the initial and ongoing certification requirements for these designations.

Recent course revisions to address the evolving needs of financial professionals include launching the ChFC(r) designation for advanced financial planning, creating the groundbreaking CASL(r) Retirement Coaching designation, offering sales training programs that consistently elevate performance, providing education for CFP(r) Certification and adding graduate level courses in Financial Services, Philanthropy and Management.
