Alice Lloyd College, founded in 1923, is a private, four-year, liberal arts institution dedicated to providing leadership education. Located in a rural community surrounded by lakes, trails, wildlife, and mountains, Alice Lloyd College is less than three hours from Lexington, Kentucky, Huntington, West Virginia, or Knoxville, Tennessee.

There are more than 600 students enrolled at Alice Lloyd College. Academic divisions include education, natural science, math, social sciences, and humanities. Pre-professional programs include dentistry, engineering, law, medicine, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy and veterinary medicine.

Alice Lloyd College provides a tuition-guaranteed education to any full-time student accepted from the 108-county service area in Central Appalachia. However, the student must be willing to work part-time to help cover the cost of their education. Alice Lloyd is one of only six work colleges in America. All full-time students are required to work a minimum of ten hours per week while classes are in session.
