Alexandria, IN 46001

The Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics, Inc., was established in 1982 by Herbert and Ruthann Hobbs with the goal of improving quality of life through massage therapy by training skilled massage therapists who could translate those skills into the betterment of the community.

The program at Alexandria School run for 42 weeks and offer courses in anatomy and physiology; theory and practice of massage; hydrotherapy; nutrition, health and hygiene; reflexology; business practices and color therapy, to name a few.

Ruthann had experiences in many schools herself, and designed the Alexandria School to go above and beyond the massage schools she herself had experienced. For this reason, Alexandria is focused on the students and their training, even beyond graduation, after which every graduate continues to have access to the resource center. At Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics, the key component of education is enlightening and empowering people to take care of their own health and to pass that enlightenment and empowerment on to their clients.
