Albuquerque Technical is a division of Central New Mexico Community College, which focuses on providing providing the most comprehensive curriculum and workforce training options of any community college in New Mexico. It offers certificates in 52 business, health, technologies and trades occupations, along with some short-term career and technical courses, and associate degrees in 48 occupational fields and arts and sciences.
With four campuses and a vast array of online courses, Albuquerque Technical or CNM is easily accessible to all. High school students can get a head start through a dual-enrollment program, allowing them to earn college and high school credits at the same time, or they can participate in the Early College Academy, where high school students simultaneously pursue a high school diploma and a CNM Associate's degree. Additionally, the school's educational and career advancement division, offers renowned services for developmental and adult basic education, and the GED program helps more than 1,000 students per year earn their high school equivalency.
Whether adult ed, or high school training, Albuquerque Technical or CNM is focused above all on the students. In addition to traditional academic advisers, Achievement Coaches encourage and help students overcome obstacles and personal life challenges.
