Alberta Massage Training offers intensive massage training programs throughout the Alberta area. With a home study portion and a practicum that can be carried out in any community, the program offers students flexibility so that massage school is available to all. The practicum is a real-world portion of the program, during which students gain supervised experience treating the public in a real work environment.

Alberta Massage Training offers a Swedish relaxation massage certificate program and a massage therapy diploma program. Students graduate with knowledge of the most common form of massage in North America, Swedish relaxation massage, as well as an introduction to manual lymph drainage. Graduates are eligible to become members of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada, in order to received group insurance benefits. The Swedish massage program provides the students with the knowledge of the most common form of massage in North America. Upon completion, employment opportunities exist in spas, on cruise ships, at holiday resorts or in private practice as relaxation massage therapists. The massage therapy program at AMT provides students with an opportunity to learn deep tissue massage, fascia release, stretching, history taking, orthopedic assessment and treatment of pathologies of the entire musculoskeletal system. AMT students also learn how to work closely with other healthcare professionals such as medical doctors, chiropractors and physiotherapists.
