Aims Academy was founded in 1987 as an authorized institution for the instruction of a Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Approved Seller Training Course, and from there it grew to be an approved school for the Texas Department of Health, Division of Food and Drugs. Today, Aims Academy provides programs in culinary arts and professional bartending for students meant to train students for initial employment as well as to enhance advancement opportunities for those already in the hospitality industry.
Aims trains and graduates successful bartenders, chefs, and food managers from its comprehensive programs. The prestigious culinary arts program at Aims Academy blends classical French cuisine with American in a nine-month culinary specific program. Aims Academy offers its students a practical hands-on approach to innovative methods and classical culinary techniques. The professional bartending program at Aims teaches students to learn to prepare over 150 popular drinks, including shooters, layered, and flaming, history of liquors, liqueurs, beers, and wines as well as troubleshooting and sanitation requirements. The professional bartending program is TABC certified.
