The Acupressure Institute's offers a comprehensive home study course that allows for an easy and flexible training based on traditional Chinese medicine. Courses are taught in the home through simple, easy-to-use booklets and DVDs created by the internationally renowned writer Michael Reed Gach, Ph.D.

Began in 1976, The Acupressure Institute provides high-quality education to support each student's professional and personal goals, in a setting that encourages communication, respect, confidentiality and safety to everyone. Counselors at the Acupressure Institute tailor their acupressure training programs, based on each student's needs and interests.

The Acupressure Institute practices an ancient healing art that relies on pressing key bodily points to stimulate the body's natural self-curative abilities, releasing muscular tension and promoting blood circulation natural healing. It is similar to acupuncture, but without the use of needles. Instead, acupressure integrates bodywork therapies, therapeutic touch, somatic work, healing imagery, energy psychology and massage therapy techniques.
