Founded in 1906, Abilene Christian University is a private Texas college that seeks to prepare students for Christian leadership and service. With a 208-acre residential campus in Abilene, the Texas college -- which claimed only 85 students its first year of classes -- is now home to approximately 4,800 students who hail not only from the U.S. but from 60 other countries as well.

Thanks to the various schools that constitute Abilene Christian University (such as The College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Biblical Studies, and the School of Nursing), there is an area of study to suit nearly anyone at this Texas University.
