Runnymede School's curriculum is what we call a "hybrid" curriculum. Because many of our students enroll at various times throughout the school year we tailor or design coursework for them that fills a need or meets a requirement at the school they last attended. We offer basic core classes such as math, history, english and science. In addition, we offer courses that are unique to Runnymede School and reinforce our 3 fold mission. These classes include but are not limited to physical education, music, church history, latin, agriculture, construction and design, horticulture, biblical economics, small business basics, bible. Each student will receive a personal curriculum upon enrollment. Most coursework is designed in a tutorial fashion and students are encouraged to work at a faster pace than a typical school. Traditional teacher led courses are also offered.
CSA stands for Community supported agriculture and is a program where people in our community purchase shares in our farm and in return get fresh, organic and all natural products for most of the spring, summer and fall months. The students at Runnymede School participate fully in this program; by practicing good stewardship, planning crops, preparing soil, adding amendments, harvesting the produce, caring for animals and delivering the goods. Profits from CSA are shared with the students in order to teach the value of labor and to include students in community relationship building. Products offered are fresh vegetables, small fruits, milk, eggs, bread, cheese, chicken, turkey, beef, pork, flowers.
Tuition fees at Runnymede are $3400 per month which includes room and board, travel or trip expenses, personal expenses, educational services.
A onetime $500 fee is charged upon enrollment to cover curriculum needs, books, supplies, registration and administration. This fee is also used to pay for any damage to property that may occur during your son's time at Runnymede School.
Money that is earned by students while participating in the CSA farm can be used to offset the cost of tuition or put in students personal "bank account" at Runnymede School for his use upon approval.
