Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Westminster, South Carolina, Cherokee Creek Boys School (CCBS) is the small school with a big heart ... a place where struggling middle-school boys, ages 11-15, come to discover a sense of hope and optimism for their future.

Our Program
The Cherokee Creek program is devoted to helping students gain personal insight - to reconnect with those powerful, loving, creative, wise parts of themselves that have become hidden or lost.
This journey of self-discovery unfolds for our students as they explore the PATH - an acronym for the four core areas of our program:

Our curriculum honors the whole child - his intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual nature. We provide a balanced and healthy lifestyle at school and teach the tools for creating sustainable growth and happiness, now and in the future.
We strive to create a place where "boys can be boys," providing activities that can ignite their interest in learning and exploring, and have the potential to become life-long hobbies or interests.
Our Students
Diagnosis' and issues that we work with: Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Parent/Child Relational Issues, ADD/ADHD, and Oppositional Defiant Behavior.
We cannot serve students with Conduct Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Addictions to Drugs and Alcohol, Psychotic Behaviors, histories of fire starting, sexual perpetration, cruelty to animals, or are adjudicated.
Admissions
We admit middle-school age boys with special needs (ages 11-15). On average, our students are enrolled with us for 15-24 months. Students may stay through their middle-school years as needed.
Our rolling enrollment allows us to accept students year-round.
Located in Westminster, South Carolina, we are relatively close to Atlanta, GA, Greenville, SC and Asheville, NC. Our closest airports are Atlanta and Greenville.
Tuition
Our tuition is 5825 per month plus therapy fees averaging 500/month.

Cherokee Creek Boys School is a warm, positive, nurturing learning community that offers the benefits of small enrollment, hands-on academics, therapy, counseling, recreation and a talented staff dedicated to helping boys find their way back to a life of balance and harmony.
We do this by weaving time for fun, play and laughter; daily exercise; a balanced diet; music; love and support systems; creative outlets for hobbies and activities and time in nature into a healthy and healing living environment for students and staff.
Our students are young and Cherokee Creek is a perfect place for "boys to be boys." Our wooded campus is surrounded by state and national parks and wildlife refuges that put boys in touch with the wonder of nature. The region boasts rugged, forested mountains, scenic lakes, gorgeous waterfalls, and some of the best whitewater rafting in the country. Through our environmental studies curriculum and popular Treks program, we take full advantage of the hiking, camping, rafting, canoeing, and climbing opportunities - using nature as a powerful teacher and a source of recreation and fun!
Cherokee Creek Boys School is a non-profit organization founded by Ron and Beth Black, the parents of a struggling child who benefited from a therapeutic program. Our Founders and the entire staff are committed to the vision of CCBS as a safe, responsive, open, positive learning experience for middle-school boys and the entire family.
