Peek Inside These Dorm Rooms
September 9th, 2010
Dorm living is something most college students have to endure, and even though residence halls have gotten more stylish, it’s still a challenge to fit everything into such a small space. It’s even harder when you’re sharing the dorm room with one or more roommates.
We asked some students at different colleges and universities to share with us their photos of how they decorated their dorm rooms this fall. You’ll find space-saving solutions like loft beds and hammocks as well as stylish touches using fabric or wall applications. You’ll also see that it’s easy to bring in a punch of color through bedding, pillows and lighting.
So check out these photos for a glimpse into dorm life. And be sure to check out where you’ll be living and get ideas for décor when you visit campuses this fall, too!

Loft beds allow space for more furniture and the girls in this University of Georgia dorm room brought in fabric for the walls (to the right) and a cheerful color palette.

Punches of pink in the lighting, bedding and rugs create a cute, chic look at the College of Charleston.

This room at Kennesaw State University in Georgia has an all-important feature: dark drapes to block out the sun when the guy wants to sleep late.
