Some Like It Co-Ed

January 7th, 2009

Dorm life is about to get a little bit cozier at the University of Chicago (Chicago, Illinois) this month. The school recently announced the start of a pilot program, referred to as open housing, that would allow sophomore students and older to dorm with the opposite sex. The move has stirred up controversy with some, but it’s important to note that the University of Chicago will implement co-ed dorming on a request-only basis.

According to the Associated Press (AP), more than 30 college campuses nationwide offer co-ed dorms.
